Cable Harness Manufacturing

Military and Aerospace Grade Wiring & Cable Harnesses

The Electronics Directorate designs, manufactures and qualifies complete wiring harness assemblies for critical defense and aerospace platforms, supporting a broad spectrum of high-reliability applications:

Fixed and rotary-wing aircraft
Airframe and avionics wiring systems.

Radar and telecommunications systems
High-speed cable infrastructure supporting Ethernet networks and ASTERIX-protocol data streams.

Missile systems
High-precision harnesses for guidance, actuation and control functions.

Anti-Drone / C-UAS systems
Complex interconnect architectures for sensors, electronic-warfare units and command-and-control (C2) systems.

Manufacturing Capabilities

Laser Wire Marking:
Permanent, indelible and fully safe conductor identification using laser marking technology – ensuring complete traceability without degrading or stressing the mechanical properties of the wire insulation, in accordance with aerospace standards.

EMI/RFI Shielding
Precision braiding and advanced shielding techniques providing robust signal protection against electromagnetic interference in combat environments.

Quality Assurance and First Article Inspection (FAI)

Quality in aerospace and military cable harness manufacturing is a non-negotiable technical requirement. Accordingly, HAI applies rigorous protocols for inspection, testing and technical verification at every stage of production:

First Article Inspection (FAI)
Comprehensive technical evaluation of the first production unit, verifying wiring configuration, terminations, marking, dimensional accuracy and electrical continuity prior to production release.

FAI Destructive Testing
Controlled destructive testing of representative termination samples to verify mechanical strength, crimp/termination integrity and electrical continuity ahead of production release.

Pull Testing
Tensile testing of connection samples to verify termination strength, consistency and quality.

Microscopic Inspection
Micrographic examination of terminations to confirm correct mechanical and electrical connection.

Automated Electrical Testing
Full continuity, short-circuit and insulation testing prior to delivery.

Hi-Pot Insulation Testing
High-voltage dielectric withstand testing to verify insulation integrity and safe operation of the cable assembly.

Advanced PCB Assembly & Manufacturing

The Electronics Directorate delivers manufacturing and assembly of high-reliability printed circuit boards for aerospace, telecommunications and defense applications.
Our production line is dedicated to IPC Class 3 electronics manufacturing. Personnel hold J-STD-001 certification, ensuring every solder joint and component placement meets standards where zero tolerance for failure is the baseline requirement.

Specialized Capabilities and Processes

Lead/Tin (Sn/Pb) Assembly Line

Full assembly capability using lead-tin alloys – a mandatory requirement for aerospace and military applications. The use of leaded solder eliminates the risk of tin whisker formation, safeguarding against latent short-circuit failures over the operational life of the product.

ESD Protection

Technical personnel are fully trained and certified in ESD-control procedures and equipped with anti-static garments. Every product is packaged exclusively in ESD-shielding bags, ensuring complete protection of sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge.

Conformal Coating

Application of precision protective coatings (acrylic, polyurethane, or silicone) that seal the PCB, delivering comprehensive protection against moisture, dust, chemical exposure and extreme environmental conditions.

Contamination Testing

Assembled boards undergo ionic contamination testing to verify a PCB surface that is 100% free of chemical residue or flux contamination that could otherwise lead to corrosion or oxidation.

Environmental & Thermal Testing

Every PCB manufactured at our facility is engineered to perform in space, in the air and in the desert. Our in-house environmental test chambers enable rigorous qualification under extreme conditions.

Thermal Cycling

Structural qualification of PCBs and solder joints under rapid, extreme temperature transitions ranging from – 55°C to +80°C– testing designed to expose latent micro-fractures prior to field deployment.

Electronic Systems Maintenance

Specialized Electronics Maintenance workshops provide full-spectrum maintenance support for:
→ Navigation Systems → Ground Radar → Telecommunications and Ground Support Systems → Missile Systems

MBDA

Launcher Maintenance Workshop

The Missile Launcher (ML) Maintenance Workshop is a newly established, state-of-the-art facility, executing preventive maintenance, general overhaul and a full range of repair operations on the missile launchers of Mirage 2000-5 and RAFALE aircraft. These launchers support MICA and EXOCET-class missiles.
